Camping. Tents. Badges!

School. Never get too used to it.
Scouts. I see badges and campfire, and tents, and wilderness. Huh?
That's some fact I dealt with along the years in the society.

If before I just competed in the marching team, this year I had the chance to enroll on a camp. (Not the first tyme ;p)

The camp was just another part to utilize the chances to instill whatever skill and theoretical knowledge in the member, and it was quite helpful. For this one, it aims to test whether one is qualified to attain one of the five high level badges.
The whole scouts of the state entered but it doesn't seem merry enough. I don't admit it was difficult, but neither it was easy as we gone through a heck of activities.

3 days and 2 nights. In a tent. Animal's waste scattered unevenly on the grassy terrain of the camp site. But, my team managed it, proficiently, by just dumping it beneath the ground. Such unpleasant experience, but what can you hope from camping? Sleeping on hard terrain and no cushion was never been so awful. Just be grateful we would finish the camping shortly enough. There was knot-tying session and some marching lesson (Not necessaryly though ;p)
A breakthrough of the whole journey for me was the Nature Cooking time. Or should I say, cooking with nature. Just same ;o

Provided with only pair of raw fish, potatoes, eggs, flour, and some spices. Just vision, smoked fishes, roasted egg, and sweet swirl bread. The fish was nicely done by making a makeshift oven. Burn some woods and put the burnt and blackened ones beside it. Separate that two different things with bricks (don't know why it exist in a campsite!) and tada! It works too. The fish just need the low point of heat from the burnt ones.
But sadly, the ever so called 'roasted egg' had failed, with the shell cracked and bursted out due to overcooked (It's still edible though ;p) And for the sweetened swirl bread, just prepare the dough with flour, salt and water. Extract some stick from the forest and clean it. Use your own desperate creativity to make the swirling dough on the stick (It wasn't that hard). Finally, just burn it on the flame and when it's done, put some sugar on it (Man that was so good! Hahhah)

Then, the time for the closing ceremony had always been never so enthutiatic to me. Just some long and boring speech, handing over the flag and lastly the badges along with certificates. I passed. Heck everyone passed the test! Hehheh.
And so the camping had become one of the memories for this year. Though there will be more, and a lot more exciting than this one. And as the scout says, "Be Prepared" and it serves well alerting the scouts for anything that could possibly happen.
